Illinois Lemon Law Lawyers
Lemon law involves state statutory provisions that enable people to return an automobile that is defective. Usually, there is a stringent time limit within which the person must discover the defect and attempt to return the car. In addition, lemon law generally limits the types of defects for which relief can be granted. The remedy at law is usually a refund of the out of pocket costs and a rescission of the financing contract if there is one. Some state laws differentiate between used cars and new cars with regard to the eligibility to use the statute.
